What are Pinterest meetings?โ€‹

This new little feature popped up in my Pinterest account this week.

Frankly, it could have been there last week but we were in the throws of snow/ice, a 3-round storm. It was awesome.

Anyway, I opened up Pinterest and saw this today and figured you might have some questions as to what this "meetings" thing was all about.

It's to sell you into using Pinterest Ads.

Makes sense. That's how the platform optimizes.

You're more than free to book a meeting but let me give you some fair warning. A Pitnerest sales expert is not the same as a Pitnerest Ads expert. And sad to say both seem to be lacking in the full knowledge of Pinterest Ads.

Erin, our Pinterest Ads director has been on more calls than she can count giving a Pinterest 101 lesson to their Ads people. And sad to say, they rotate through Ads reps faster than my kids scrolling YouTube shorts.

Do I think it's a bad idea if you book a "meeting"? Nope, but you've been given the heads-up.

Pinterest Academy recommends "Inspiration Diamond"

โ€‹Pinterest Academy is their e-learning platform that helps you get the most out of your Pinterest Ads. But I would argue there are a lot of takeaways for your organic marketing as well.

There are 4 parts to the Inspiration Diamond:

Visually Arresting: content should contain compelling imagery that evokes curiosity

Fresh Perspectives: content should provide unexpected ideas for your audience

Tailored: content should be inclusive, relevant, and relatable

Motivating: content should inspire your audience to take action

Since 97% of searches on Pinterest are unbranded, there is a great opportunity for businesses to provide new ideas and products to their audiences. By understanding the interests and intentions of pinners, you can create an experience that speaks directly to what your audience is searching for.

Create awesome Pins that get noticed!

How to use Pinterest Predicts

This is Pinterest Predicts Weekly. It's a place that highlights the search trends of users. You can of course find this at trends.pinterest.com as well but this neat little cheat sheet pulls it all together.

How do you use it?

Look through the slides and spot any trends in your niche coming up. Pay attention to keywords and include those in your descriptions, titles, etc so that Pinterest can pick it up when people are searching.

Keeping up on this at least 2x per month will help you stay creative and not burn out from keyword or content fatigue. It's a thing!
