Hello and welcome to your weekly dose of Pinterest marketing education.

Last week, we discovered a weird Pinterest glitch that had happened over the weekend. Failed pins in Tailwind, weird analytics, and then suddenly, on Tuesday, it was back to normal. A user in the SPM Insiders community lost her boards completely!

Feels very on brand for May. If you had some funkiness with Pinterest, then you know it wasn't your problem...it was the platform's.

Let's talk about why this happens.

The engineering team is always testing new features, playing around with the placement of buttons, and changing up how the viewer sees pins. They do this because they want to ensure the pinner has a great user experience. But also, if they don't test and try new things, they will never know if something is a success.

That being said, when you notice numbers going wonky, make sure your account isn't marked as spam. If it isn't then wait a few days, and it should return to normal. Make sure you're in a community where you can ask as well. It's helpful to know it's not just you.

If it doesn't return to normal, that's when you can light up the Pinterest help desk. Kidding...always be kind.
